• Results of the NDIA Arizona Chapter Elections were reported with the following results:

Director for One-Year Term – Elaine Clemens-Solomon

President – Bruce Burda (incumbent)

Vice President – Rob Olson

Treasurer – Kirk Kennedy (incumbent)

Secretary – Linda Daly

• The attendees discussed the need for a webmaster who could volunteer 1-2 hours per week in updating the website. Further discussion suggested that NDIA Arizona has budget and should hire the web designer to update the website. Action: Bruce to contact the webmaster and contract his services.

• Bruce gave an update on Linkedin.com. He set this up 2 weeks ago. Some of the attendees received the invite and others said they hadn’t. Action: Bruce to send another linkin.com invite to current attendees and to work with Molly Flanagan in NDIA National for the linkedin.com invite to be sent to the hundreds of Arizona chapter members.

• Attendees agreed that every NDIA Arizona regular meeting should include a Treasurers Report out in the agenda. If Kirk is not able to attend the meeting, it is his responsibility to put someone in charge of reporting out.

• Attendees discussed using some of the NDIA budget to “give back”, with scholarships as an idea. Bruce announced that the planned golf outing will be a fundraiser. Profits will go to an organization or person in need, and this will be decided at the August NDIA Arizona chapter meeting.

• Attendees determined that the chapter needs to make progress through its committees, including STEM, Programs, and any new ones.. It was also recommended that directors of the Board chair these committees.

• Attendees discussed the need for Chapter officers to be protected from liabilities through an insurance fund. Bruce agreed that this should be researched.

• Bruce proposed moving dates of upcoming meetings to accommodate Raytheon Tucson’s Alternate Friday Off Schedule. Planned new dates and locations are as follows:

           • July 17 -  FIRST Annual Golf Benefit Outing – Foothills Golf Country Club

           • August 14th – Meeting hosted at Kinetx; Diamondback Family Event in the evening
